Archiving Policy
Archiving Policy
The Global Journal of Intelligent Technologies (GLOJIT) is committed to the long-term preservation and accessibility of its published content. Our archiving policy ensures that all articles remain permanently available to the scholarly community, regardless of any changes to the journal’s operations or hosting infrastructure.
1. Digital Preservation
GLOJIT utilizes multiple digital preservation strategies to safeguard the integrity and availability of its content:
-
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
GLOJIT supports the LOCKSS program to allow participating libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for preservation and restoration purposes. -
PKP Preservation Network (PN)
As a journal hosted on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, GLOJIT participates in the PKP Preservation Network, which provides distributed archiving and ensures long-term access.
2. Self-Archiving by Authors
GLOJIT allows and encourages authors to archive the final published version (Version of Record) of their articles in:
-
Institutional repositories
-
Subject-specific repositories
-
Personal websites or profiles (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu)
-
Funding agency repositories
Articles may be archived immediately upon publication without embargo, provided proper citation and link to the published version on the GLOJIT website are included.
3. Indexing and Backups
All published content is systematically backed up and indexed in major scholarly databases and search engines. The journal's website is also regularly backed up to prevent data loss in the event of technical failures.
4. Print and Offline Availability
In addition to digital formats, GLOJIT may offer annual print volumes or downloadable offline archives (PDF/ZIP format) to ensure accessibility in environments with limited internet access.
